Arkansas Living Treasure Nominee · Handcrafted in the USA · Est. 1980
Each instrument is built by hand — one at a time, with carefully selected tonewoods, time-proven joinery, and a luthier's patient eye for detail.
"I build instruments
that ask to be played."
— Dennis J. Siler
Dennis has spent over 40 years learning the art of stringed instrument construction — a craft where millimetres matter and patience is the most important tool in the shop. From selecting raw tonewoods to final setup and playability, every instrument is built with the care of someone who plays as well as builds.
He also offers repairs, restorations, and teaching — because a great instrument is only half of the story.
Watch — Meet the Luthier
Share the type of instrument, your playing style, tonal preferences, and any special requirements. There are no wrong answers — this is just the start of a conversation.
Together we'll choose tonewoods, body style, scale length, and cosmetic details. Dennis will advise based on your sound goals and experience level.
Your instrument enters the build queue. You'll receive updates with photos as it takes shape — seeing your instrument come to life is part of the experience.
Every instrument is set up for playability before it leaves the workshop. Delivery is arranged directly with you, including full packaging and insurance.
No commitment — just a chat about what you're dreaming of.
Thank you for reaching out. Dennis will be in touch within a few days to continue the conversation.
Dennis brings decades of both building and playing experience to his teaching. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your technique, he meets you where you are — no rush, no judgement, just patient guidance.
From a simple neck reset to a full vintage restoration, Dennis handles stringed instrument repairs with the same care he brings to building. He understands what an instrument means to its player — it'll be treated accordingly.
